Matthew began paddling on his local river, the Saluda, with the "Saludayakerz" and with the PEAK program at his school before New River Academy. He is currently a senior at New River Academy. Wile attending the school, Matthew traveled to Costa Rica and Chile and plans to paddle and take photographs in China this fall. Snapdragon recently published one of his photographs.
